چکیده

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most important staple foods. High concentration sodium chloride severely affects plants in general and wheat specific. In this study ameliorative effects ascorbic acid (AsA) against stress were investigated two commercial cultivars (Galaxy 2013 Akbar 2019). Experiments conducted three replicates. Two levels salt (0, 150 mM) along with exogenous application 30 mM, 60 applied at leaves seedling stage. At establishment treatments, data regarding physiological, biochemical yield attributes recorded subjected to statistical analysis. The AsA significantly (p≤0.05) improved growth, key physiological tested varieties under salinity stress. Overall genotype 2019 showed better growth It concluded from that may be used mitigate wheat.

Potassium induced salinity tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Water culture experiments were conducted to study the response of ten wheat genotypes to external K application (10 mmol KCI dm3) at seedling stage under saline condition (0 and 100 mmol NaCl dm3). The data showed that there was an increase in the shoot and root length with the application of external K. The increase was more pronounced under control than under saline conditions. The better per...

Physiological assessment of drought tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties under moisture stress conditions

Drought is one of the major limiting factors in wheat production in Pakistan. Five commercial wheat varieties; Chakwal-97, Inqilab-91, Margalla-99, NR-234 and Wafaq2001 were grown in pots in glasshouse. Plants were subjected to three consecutive drought cycles at tillering, pre-anthesis and milky growth stages by withholding water till leaf rolling started. Measurements of physiological respons...

The Effect of Priming and Salinity on Physiological and Chemical Characteristics of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

In order to study of the effect of priming and salinity on physiological and chemical characteristics of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.), an experiment was carried out at the Experimental Farm of Shiraz University. Results showedthat primed plants significantly reduced its gas exchanges by accelerating senescence under a series of salt stress, which became more serious along with the increasing of s...

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Growth and Yield as Influenced by Flooding and Salinity Stresses in Northern Iran

Salinity and flooding are as two very important factors of soil degradation. They often occur together and cancause severe damage to plants. However, plant response to environmental stresses may vary with growth stage atwhich exposure occurs. A pot study was conducted in 2005-2006 in northern Aq Qala (northern Iran) to studycombine effects of waterlogging and soil salinity at different growth s...

The wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) leaf proteome.

The wheat leaf proteome was mapped and partially characterized to function as a comparative template for future wheat research. In total, 404 proteins were visualized, and 277 of these were selected for analysis based on reproducibility and relative quantity. Using a combination of protein and expressed sequence tag database searching, 142 proteins were putatively identified with an identificat...
